Congratulations to FlorSoz members

The Board and the members of the “Floristisch-soziologische Arbeitsgemeinschaft” congratulate the 14th winner of the “Reinhold-Tüxen-Preis” 2021, Prof. Dr. Richard Pott.

Prof. Dr. Richard Pott, a long-standing member of FlorSoz, was awarded the 14th “Reinhold- Tüxen-Preis” in the city of Rinteln on 14 May 2021. Since 1987, this prize has been the only science prize to be awarded exclusively to personalities from the ecological-vegetation disciplines. Prof. Pott was the head of the Institute for Geobotany at the Leibniz University of Hanover for over 30 years.

The Board and the members of the “Floristisch-soziologische Arbeitsgemeinschaft” congratulate the 12th winner of the “Reinhold-Tüxen-Preis” 2015, Prof. Dr. Hartmut Dierschke.

Prof. Dr. Hartmut Dierschke, Honorary chairman of FlorSoz, was awarded the 12th “Reinhold-Tüxen-Preis” in the city of Rinteln on 8 May 2015. Since 1987, this prize has been the only science prize to be awarded exclusively to personalities from the ecological-vegetation disciplines. Prof. Dierschke was head of the Department of Vegetation Science and Population Biology at the University of Göttingen for over 20 years. He was the first chairman of the “Floristisch-soziologische Arbeitsgemeinschaft” from 1977 to 2004 and was vice-chairman of the “Reinhold-Tüxen-Gesellschaft” from 1983 to 2003.

 

Awards for young authors

The “Floristisch-soziologische Arbeitsgemeinschaft” awards a prize of 500 € to young authors for outstanding work published in Tuexenia (as first author). Award winners can be found here.
